Dear all,
I received Virgin's email which said I will be able to receive the new Hub 5 as a free upgrade from my original router.
Does it mean that Hub 5 will help me connect faster?

Read through the very large number of topics on 'Networking and WiFi' about all the ways the Hub 5 does not work well and it would be reasonable to reassess the word 'upgrade' in describing the Hub 5.
It's a trial unit with plenty of bugs in it. As far as will it allow you to connect faster, it might possibly prevent you from connecting at all, depending on your specific devices!

If you have read through the list of topics on 'Networking and WiFi' as suggested, and come to that conclusion based on how the reported problems might affect you, then you may well have saved yourself a whole load of hassle.
