Intermittent dropouts with 'no ranging response received' errors in log. Router mode with mesh

I've been with Virgin for years and have always had parts of the house with bad wifi.  About 6 months ago I upgraded to the top package and changed the Hub to router mode and added google nest mesh.  This has been fantastic and the general performance has been way better - I particularly notice this on some Sonos speakers which were further away and used to drop off a lot - they never do now.

However in the last week or two I have been having frequent dropouts again.  I have checked the Hub settings and I seem to have a lot of Critical Errors saying "No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;"

(Over the years most problems I have had have been to do with the connection to the box down the road if that is in any way relevant.)

Thanks for posting on the Community Forums! I'm terribly sorry for our delayed response and for the broadband issues you've been facing.

 

I've been able to find your account and can see that there is currently an ongoing congestion issue in your area which will be the cause of the problems. It's estimated to be resolved by the 12th March, so please do let us know how things after from this date.

Hi @paulah99

 

Unfortunately the utilisation outage is still ongoing and the current estimated fix date being 30th March at 3pm - this is being worked on by our engineers and is a very wide / complex issue in which the area engineers are looking to get resolved as soon as possible for you. I'm so sorry this is still ongoing I can imagine this stress may cause, rest assured we're looking to get this sorted as soon as possible.
