Intermittent Connection - Getting Progressively Worse

Hi,

I’m seeing failing regular dropouts on my connection and the router showing ranging response errors over and over again.

No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;

Reading previous posts I suspect an engineer may need to be involved to resolve the issue. Is anyone able to advise the process I need to follow to ideally get the matter resolved?

Many thanks in advance

Re: Intermittent Connection - Getting Progressively Worse

log into hub3 - 192.168.0.1 [or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode] - DON'T SIGN IN, click - click router status [centre of screen] - and post the downstream and upstream figures - to see those press on the grey buttons/boxes labeled - upstream - downstream

if its an earlier hub button is top right

Re: Intermittent Connection - Getting Progressively Worse

levels are not a disaster but the downstream is as high as it wants to be +10 is the max and you have some over that and many near - they really need sorting and see what happens after that

you need a tech to sort tat - wait for VM to get to the thread they should book a tech

dont mark the post as helpful even if you think it is that can slow responses from VM

Re: Intermittent Connection - Getting Progressively Worse

Excellent, thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated.

I’ll wait for Virgin Media to pick it up and advise on next steps.
