I have signed up for 100Mb service, the guys came and stuck what I believe is an "omnibox" onto the house in preparation of installation - this contains a Boostral 710 which is FTTP?

Seems a bit overkill or is it now standard practice for "future proofing"?

some areas are fully FTTP so thats what you get regardless of the speed you order

I was wondering as I seem to be the only one in the estate to have one, all the rest I can see are very small where the cable goes into the houses
