Installation question

nohoho
Joining in

I have opted for Virgin as there is no full fiber in the area where i am moving to this week.

I have booked installation for Thursday but due to work issues will not be around at the house when the installers arrive.

I have spoken to pre-installatoon team who agreed to ask the engineer to not arrive till after 9.30am.

I went to the new house today and noticed that there was a virgin "box" outside at the front of the house.

So....will the installtion be a simple switch on/line activation? I am not keen on them drilling the hoise when i am not around amd wondered if these boxes are installed when the area goes live or whether the previous owner had the line active, in which case how can I be sure I have the most upto date equipment?

Thanks

Hello nohoho,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. If the outside work has been carried out, it would just be the matter of the team installing the services and activating them on the visit, drilling would be required for the cabling to be installed, if it already hasn't been. Somebody over the age of 18 is required to be present during the internal installation of your services. When you say equipment, are you meaning the cabling into your home or your TV box and router?

Kind Regards,
