Signed up with Virgin media 7 weeks ago and they still haven't installed. They keep cancelling with the same reason about pre-installation work and now I have no date scheduled and no internet since we moved in on 1 September 2020 and my family is spending a fortune on mobile data to work and study!

Installs can take upto 8 weeks if pre-installation work is needed, it can take longer due to covid and if the council is involved (eg. planning permission requirements). The other problem seems to be that Virgin have no control over their third party contractors and have no actual idea when they might turn up, so there's typically several weeks of nothing happening before they decide to send someone out to see if the third party work has actually been done...
