Install postponed?

Recently signed up for VM TV, Broadband and phone. Got a call the next day saying that there is missing infrastructure in the road and that my installation date is being postponed. Just looked outside the house and my next-door neighbour is having there services installed and they are watching the tv and using broadband. Does anyone know what is going on? Anyone I've called at VM doesn't seem to know.

Yes. They seem to just read from the notes on the account and don't take the matter further. Frustrating really.
