I received my router kit but nowhere to connect to

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask about this. I received my router yesterday with the necessary starter items but previously I had Talk talk which just connected to openreach socket. I now find the virgin router has a cable/coax type connection but the only place I found anything like that is at rear of property an old telewest box type with a place it could connect to but there are no power outlets near it so I'm kind of stumped. My go live date is tomorrow (Saturday 4th June) but I wasn't told anything about anyone coming to connect me up , I just received a router kit so not sure what to do? Do I need to call Virgin or wait till tomorrow to see if they already arranged for someone to come on my go live date? Surely Virgin would have a record of whether my property already had the necessary connections?

The TeleWest box is where you connect your hub. If you want it moved to another location VM will do it for £25.

Yup the old Telewest point is the one you want. You don't need a power point other than for the hub. You might need to get the new hub activated on 0800 953 9500.
