the connector sticking out of the wall to the right of the telephone box looks like a VM isolator - it has a removable cap - unscrew that and remove it and connect the cable that came with the hub to that and then to the hub
power it up and ring the activation line - if all is ok you should get a solid white light on the hub at the bottom front - if it stays green or flashing green then either the connection is not VM or the line is not connected
if it works you are up and running but it could still do with a tech visit to add the correct wall box - be careful how you book that as they might see it as a mod to a working line and try to charge you a non fault cost of £99 - you would be better to wait for VM here to book something
