How long does this normally take? The power to my router was interrupted and when it rebooted flashes green, like forever, well a few hours anyway. I tried a reset and that made no difference . I think the connections are OK, the Tivo box (TV) works fine. A test shows that there is problem connecting to the router form Virgin HQ but I can connect to it from a PC to do diagnostics etc. Fails with connection to broadband. If this continues I'll have to get an engineer I guess, but the prospect of paying £25 ain't great.

If it’s faulty you do not have to pay anything.

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.

VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.

If no area faults found:

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.

So it would appear to be a problem with the cable from the wall socket. We have another connection in the bedroom and everything works fine from there.

Thanks for your response.
