Hub 4 overheating and making a loud whirring noise

Hi, I had a Hub 4 installed about 6 weeks ago. However, it's now making a loud whirring noise and is warm to touch. It's positioned away from direct sunlight in a fairly well ventilated / dust free room. Should I be concerned?

Sounds like it maybe needs the dust hoovered out? The Hub 4 takes air in from the bottom I believe so it can also suck up dust over time.

Hi Fergujj

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

I am sorry to hear that the hub is making that noise and also hot to touch. The advice from adduxi regarding the hub 4 is correct (thanks as always) but I can see you've spoke to the team since the post, got an engineer out who's attended and sorted this 🙂

Keep us posted if you need further assistance.

Kind regards,

Hi John,

Yes, we had a visit this morning from Marcel who has replaced the noisy Hub 4 with a new one.

Silence is golden! 👍

Glad to hear that the issue has been resolved @Fergujj.

Please continue to monitor the hub and let us know if you need any further help.

Thanks,
