Hub 3 stopped working with my Router

Today my Hub 3 has stopped working with my 3rd party router. i've swapped the router to another but still get the same problem, I cant get internet. The Hub was in modem mode. and when connected directly to my computer it works fine.. im currently using the Hub in router mode and Ethernet and wifi are working fine. Does anybody know why my 3rd party Router wont work.?

Hard to diagnose, of possibility is the Ethernet cable as you say you have tried two different routers. Try another cable.

While I wasn't able to get internet I was still able to log into my Router and the Hub, If that makes any difference.?

It could be due to an internal wireless/wired issue with the 3rd party router but it’s kind of hard to know. Have you tried these steps:

1. Restarting Router and 3rd Party Router.

2. Testing the router out of modem mode.

3.Look for a reset button on the 3rd party router, if so then reset the router.

If none of these work then I’m not quite sure.

Ive googled the Virgin service status and it says theres a problem with the internet in my area so im hoping that's whats caused my problem...

I wouldn’t believe the area issue has anything to do with your problem as:

1. Modem Mode connected to a PC works;

2. Router Mode works.

This would suggest your router is the source of your problem.

If a firmware update is available for your router, do it. Pinhole reset the router, put the hub back into modem mode and connect your router via its WAN port to the hub. If the router doesn't work, reboot it. If it still doesn't work, bin it.
