Hub 3 red light

Lomander73
Tuning in

Hi

My hub 3 has a constant red light showing and also feels warm. It's placed on my TV unit out in the open and have tried switching it off for a few hours then rebooting it but it's still got a constant red light.  I'm worried about the fire implications as its associated with the hub over heating. What's my next course of action to remedy this.

Thanks Craig

Welcome back to our community forums.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing this overheating issue with your hub 3. We can understand your concern and we want to do our best to help. Just to clarify do you have a red power light or a red WIFI light? You may also find the following link useful https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-no-wifi-connection-hub3.

Please get back to me when you can.

Well-informed

having your router in the tv unit is a bad idea its ideal to be placed in the open not near anything like tv your phone line if its wireless even near pc montiors can effect wifi signals and cooling of the router

It's *on* his TV unit - Out in the open.

Hi @Lomander73,

I would like to arrange an engineer to come out and get this checked over for you. If it needs replacing this can be done at the visit.

Will pop you a PM now so we can confirm some details.

Thank you
