Good day. I have a permanent red light on my hub3. Seems to indicate the hub is getting hot. Obviously faulty as I have switched it off and left it overnight. As soon as I turn it back on the light comes on immediately. Nothing I have tried seems to clear it. I’m guessing the hub is faulty.

Have you tried a one minute pinhole reset of the hub?

Good day.
Yes, tried the reboot. Nothing changed.
cheers.

If a reset did not clear the red LED, a new Hub is needed. To have a faulty overheat warning is a fire risk. Either phone it in, or wait here a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up. If the Hub is getting any way hot, unplug it.

Good point on safety made above. For the avoidance of doubt, a pinhole factory reset, as opposed to a reboot, is set out here https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-reset-your-hub

Hello IanandJill
Thanks for your post
Sorry to hear about the issue with your hub
I can look into this for you and arrange a replacement
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great
