How does everyone set up their new phones?

Wondering how different people go about setting up their new phones. Do you start with a fresh device or do you transfer everything from your current phone? Why/why not?

I preorder a 256gb model and I’m still not decided if I should transfer my data or start a new phone. I like having a fresh start but don’t want to loose close access to my photos.

Any photos you want to keep shouldn't be on your phone at all; I upload to Google Photos.

It's certainly easiest to transfer your data and apps from your old phone by WiFi although some things such as WiFi passwords may have to be reinput to the new phone. Warning: this can take quite some time.

Hi if you have a Samsung galaxy phone and you update to a another one you can use smart switch, which transfers every thing from one to the other brilliant.Regards Micky
