Gig1 - Outbound packets keep dropping | Inbound packets are perfectly fine

Hi,

Still extremely concerned with how many issues my area is having with Virgin Media, this must be the 5th time of total outage within the last 2-3 months, thankfully I wasn't home much yesterday throughout the all day outage, but today i come home and I am greeted yet again by virgin media failing to resolve issues.

To be fair, I understand these things actually happen, but consider this, I had to start working from the office due to the daily issues I faced, usually when I got home it would be fine, but now I come home and cant even relax, even more upsetting when I add in the fact I'm paying £111 for the same package that costs just £85 in my first year contract...

ISSUE RESOLVED

 

Spent hours last night reconfiguring, the issue was an effect of IPV6(For what ever reason) even though Virgin does not support IPV6, router firmware had updated and I guess some stuff changed, not exactly sure how it was the issue, but disabling it for sure worked. 

Though not to mention there was a genuine outage in the area, im still confused how this all happened when no settings on my modem had actually changed.

If you haven’t already, set up a free, secure and “offlsite” - “Broadband Quality Monitor” to continually monitor the state of your connection and record any true network dropouts , latency issues, packet drops, etc - it will thus allow you to differentiate between those and simple wifi dropouts.

It does it 24/7/365 and it keeps a visual record of any/all of your network disconnections, useful data to have to match to the Network logs (in your Hub settings) and also in discussions with VM - note it will take a few hours to start seeing a sensible picture - post up the “link” to the “share live graph”. Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate. Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see. On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon) In the URL box paste the link you copied and then click OK

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

 

Like wise this also seems fine, but something very much isn't.
