Engineer never arrived - no communication

I am appalled by the service I have received from virgin.

Booked a home move weeks in advance. Explained that I work from home so this was really important that I had internet on the date agreed.

Sat in from 8-1 and no engineer arrived. No communication what so ever from Virgin. I called but they said the job was still open so couldn’t do anything.

Now I have lost a day annual leave, I will have to ring into my job to say I cannot work and reschedule other work that was booked in for tomorrow but we need internet to have it done.

How can you book an appointment and no one even ring to say they were going to be late or not arrive?

Poor customer service
