Credit to account, no confirmation

I recently joined Virgin Media and was promised a £70 credit on my account instead of a cashback offer. This was over a week ago, I asked for confirmation of this credit and was told I'd receive an email. I've since called back and been promised it will be added to my first bill but they can't send me an email confirmation. Is this normal or am I getting the runaround?

I do not know about this particular offer but when companies offer these sort of cash back offer usually a period of time you have to be a customer for it to be paid, might be 2 or 3 months.

I suggest you check the terms and conditions of the offer and if there is a waiting period.

Verbal, 3 times over the phone, they reassure me that it'll happen and I've been told twice it's been passed to a manager and that I'll get an email but have received nothing. This is why I'm trying to get written confirmation.
