Connection drops repeatedly

Almost daily my connection drops, more than often a few times a day.

In modem mode, but the LAN/physical connection drops, MY router reports disconnection followed by ‘your ISP is having DHCP issues’

At this point the super hub is rebooting, flashing etc, then it stables and I’m back up.

I had someone out to look at it a few weeks back, they replaced cable/joins outside, fitted an in-line gain module.

things seem to be getting worse

Re: Connection drops repeatedly

I properly rebooted it the other day when connection dropped.

When the connection drops it looks like it’s rebooted itself, my WiFi router shows it disconnected, all lights go off and start the usual boot sequence.

I’ll reboot tonight and post the stats again in the morning

Re: Connection drops repeatedly

Can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you can post the link straight away.

Post a link to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.
