Coax cable set up

Hi,

Today I received my start up box from virgin for my new apartment. I seem to have an issue with my coax cable.

i have plugged it in the box but I can’t plug it in the box that is on the wall as it seems to have something else there. Both points (the thing coming from the wall box and the cable sent to me by Virgin) both have the needle coming out.

Re: Coax cable set up

You’ll probably have to undo the two cross head screws on the box and set what’s inside. I presume the orange cable is the incomer from the omnibox on the outside of your house. It may just be looped around and what you see is the end of it. What is needed is a female to female cable joiner. You will probably have to call VM if this is the case.

Re: Coax cable set up

The shorter cable that is basically just a connector is a Virgin cable, so try that if you're able to. Pull it a bit and see if any comes out but the likelihood is that you will need a barrel F.

Re: Coax cable set up

Plug the cable into your hub, it will either work or it won't (in which case you need a manned installation).
