I am trying to set up my VM hub (3) and I can insert the isolator cable into the hub but I have nowhere on a wall to insert the cable. I have an openreach socket that can be used to insert a telephone cable which I have been doing but my hub won't set up. The WiFi light shows and the base light flashes green but I don't have the arrows and the base light won't stop flashing. It's been over an hour and the hub won't set up properly. Is there another way to set up the hub without the isolator cable or do I need someone to sort out the socket so it can have an isolator cable inserted into it?

You need to phone Virgin and say that you need an engineer install

That socket is no use to you. Look for another socket or hanging cable that is exactly behind the external box on the wall. If you can't find that, call for a manned installation. 0800 052 1734
