Call from 0161 number

Hi there I’ve just had a phone from someone called Rakesh saying the engineer Paul is available to come at 6pm today instead of Monday 5th July as originally booked in with virgin. He called from 0161 802 0131 which I found strange as I didn’t know virgin to have any 0161 numbers. Can someone confirm if this is correct. On who-called-me this number is ranked as neutral with just as many people saying it’s fake as those saying it’s genuine.

I would expect if Virgin employees were calling you it would come from a number owned by Virgin. This one is not owned by Virgin but by a business VoIP provider, so it may be fake.Treat with caution.
