Cable inset

I have recently had my hallway plastered and way the cables enter the house has been pulled out the wall and now doesn't want to back in. I have damaged the casing a bit trying to tap it back in. Any ideas how I can replace so it looks tidy again?

Re: Cable inset

Best if you post up a couple of photos of what it looks like.

Re: Cable inset

Hit the reply button (not quick reply) and then press the camera icon on the toolbar and it allows you to drag and drop or select the ones to insert

Re: Cable inset

The camera icon to insert photos is the 9th counting from the left.

Re: Cable inset

It looks as if the socket is damaged and should be replaced. And do you have any problem with your VM service?

Re: Cable inset

no socket damage there, all that is damaged is the plastic wall surround that covers the hole.
get a new one (very cheap from B&Q etc) and hammer it into place into the wall.

you'll need to make the hole in the wall larger though, that's why it broke when you tried to put it back in, because the hole is no longer big enough for it to fit in.
