I've been digging in my garden today and managed to nick the virgin cable. It has no casing around it and is about 3 inches from the surface. This can't be right can it? Surely it should be deeper and protected with casing? I've booked an engineer appt for tomorrow but I want them to know the situation before they get here so they can fix it ASAP rather than them turning up tomorrow and saying they need to come back. I've called the helpline 4 times today and everytime I've been on hold for 45 mins and then the call disconnects. 1. Is there anyway I can get a message to the engineer and 2. How easy is this going to be to fix and how quick?
