Recently moved into a new house. We've set up our VM (new to VM) but noticed the outside cable box is broken so the lid will not stay on. All wires open to the elements.
We did ask about it over the phone when we set up our VM but they said it would be a £35 call out to assess the repair - this seems unfair as we had only just joined and inherited the box.
Can anyone advise what we should do?

Please post a photo to allow VM to assess what are needed for a repair. There should be no charge to repair, what is after all, VM's property.
Wait here a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up and arrange a technician to repair it.

As this is external works, you do not have to be at the property on the day of the visit.
