Hi,
I'm leaving the service, and I just received a package containing a bag and a plastic spanner, with instructions to unplug my cable from the wall and use the terminator cap.
My cable comes up through the floor, and I have no cap. What can I do?
How can I get a cap please?
What happens if I can't terminate the cable?

Nothing. The purists will want it capped, as it may cause noise ingress and it would be better with one. However, a quick look through these Forums will show pictures of many, many cables lying uncapped and many cables just cut by other ISP's during their installs ........ If you are really concerned, you can buy them for a few pence, or if you see a VM van on your road, just ask for one?
If you wait here a day or two, a VM Mod will pick this up and hopefully sort it out.
