Cable Installation Date

A technician came last week to fit my VM hub, but found that there was a problem with the cable to my flat. He said that he had escalated the problem and that somebody (I believe subcontractors) would come and lay a cable from the street to my flat. Is there any way to find out when this will be? How long does this usually take?

Sorry if this gets you overly concerned but there have been issues recently on new installtions where cable repulls are required so - see John’s excellent precis in message 18 of this thread

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 1 WiFi, 1 on PA) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On 250Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.
