Cabelcon 4.9 trouble installing router

emthex
Settling in

I was told I could self install my hub 3 router, however I cannot find a virgin box to plug into the wall, the only thing I can find is a cablecon 4.9 with a 3dB attenuator attached. Virgin was used in this property before I moved in so I am confused on what I plug into my router

Does the Hub connect to the old wallbox ok. Just plug it in and see if you get a connection.

My wall boxes are old Cable & Wireless ones 🙂

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Mine were Diamond Cable (predated NTL) until a nice engineer replaced the cable from the drop to the socket!

It’s basically a suck-it-and-see situation. VM is made up of numerous cable companies, my boxes are Cable London. If it works that ok, it call customer services.
