Broadband not working

Just joined

Broadband has completely stopped working. The light in the router is red.

I have switched off and checked connections.

Test just says it is not working, wait 23 hours then I can book a technitian.

I need internet access for work and can't just wait days for virgin to even start thinking about solving the problem.

I assume that if virgin are not going to attempt to provide the service I am paying for, they will give a discount on the bill for the time they are not providing a service?
