I’m new to virgin and just received the router . Looking at the installation I am unable to plug into the existing socket.
I believe I may need an engineer to come out and install this ? Please advise

Not all properties have a socket but only a cable. Check outside for the brown\grey box on the wall and trace the cable inside.
A photo of the existing connection would be helpful to identify.
