These are being used with a gig1 connection on a Hub4
These are downstream stats only I can give upstream if needed
I'm the 2nd furthest away from the cabinet exchange (about 20-30second walk to it)

Those stats are fine. Why are you asking? Do you have broadband issues?

A virgin employee on this forum private messaged me suggesting after their tests my downstream might be too low and I have to give over some info for an engineer to come over
I've already said on that post that ethernet is perfect but WiFi is all over the place and after doing a lot of reading I've concluded that the hub4 itself is inadequate (who launches a hub specifically for gig speeds but has WiFi 5 instead of 6 lol tf?)
I just want the new Hub 5 and be done with it ..(though early reviews are starting to suggest that hub is also inadequate)
So I'm leaning toward just buying a router at this point but I shouldn't have to buy a £100+ router to get adequate service that is costing £62/month

The DS range is -6 to +10 so your stats are fine.
As for the Hub 5, it's still in "sort of trial" soft launch, and tbh best avoided at this time until the firmware is fully debugged.
It's fine in modem mode by all accounts.

possibly but have you done anything with the hub4's wifi settings
assuming you dont have pods
1 - split the wifi bands
2 - turn off intelligent wifi
3 - get something like inSSIDer to look at the channels being used around you and choose ones that are not busy
i agree the wifi on all VM hubs is not great but the 4 is not a disaster - slightly better than the 3 imo - if non of the above helps then a 3rd party router or mesh system will answer all your wifi need - its a one off purchase and worth it

Hi @Anonymous
Welcome back to our Community Help Forum 🙂
Thank you for making this post regarding your power levels, I can confirm your power levels are in spec. Sorry to hear you are experiencing WiFi issues, I have ran diagnostics on our systems and there were no issues showing.
Please perform a Pinhole reset on your Hub by following these exact instructions:
Disconnect all unneeded ethernet cables from the rear of the Hub.
With the Hub Powered on use a paperclip or similar (I use a mobile phone SIM Slot tool) and do a pinhole reset.
Depress the pinhole switch for a timed 60 seconds then release
DO NOT reboot the hub but allow it 5 to 10 minutes for it to boot itself up.
Let me know how your WiFi is working after this.
Best wishes,
Serena
