I've just received a PG-9077LG-VM WiFi booster as well and I've unplugged it as I could smell hot electronics when I walked into the room where it was installed and when I touched it it was very hot. It wasn't hot enough to burn my fingers but a lot hotter than I'd expect a piece of domestic electronics to be. I've unplugged it because I was concerned about leaving it overnight. The socket it's plugged into is reasonably clear of any obstruction, a piece of furniture is 6 inches on one side and a pair of curtains 12 inches the other and it's completely clear above and below. Really not sure what to do at this point.
Hi mrtakatm, I understand the boosters do get quite hot when in operation but we're not aware of any issues caused by that - the electronic smell sounds quite concerning though and may require further attention.
I'll send a PM to confirm a few details with you, and hope to hear back from you soon.
