no broadband connection available on more than 1 laptop in the house ?

Does anyone know how to resolve this ?

2 laptops in our house cannot get connection to broadband - which is provided by Virgin media.

The broadband icon has the red "X" over it and I have tried many different internet suggestions, but I am thinking maybe this is an issue with Virgin broadband / the hub / laptops or a mix of all 3 ?

We cannot get the laptop to link to broadband at ALL.

We have a couple of chromebooks, a couple of other laptops, kindles, a tablet ALL of which are fine, but for some reason 2 laptops have the same problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: no broadband connection available on more than 1 laptop in the house ?

Hi pants01,

Thanks for posting on the community.

Sorry to read you are having an issue with your 2 laptops connecting to the network.

Are you trying to connect both these devices to the wireless network? If so, have you tried to remove the network from the list and reconnect? Do you get any error messages at all?

If it is through wired, have you tried a different port in the router? Does the cable work fine in one of your other devices? Also make sure that you have Obtain IP and DNS address automatically in the LAN properties.

Let us know how you get on

Regards

Sam
