network causing issues connecting to servers on ps5

Tuning in

Hi, I can see that this issue has been posted multiple times on here but there doesnt seem to be a fix.

My network isnt letting my ps5 connect to the servers of any games. I have tried changing dns settings, modem mode, factory reset nothing works. This issue has only started in the last few days.

I know its a network issue because everything works fine on my mobile hotspot. Im connected via LAN.

How can I resolve this?

What error messages are you getting ? Is your i.p. address being blocked on those gaming sites?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

the error messages are “unable to connect to server” etc.

This thread shows its an obvious virgin issue which hasnt been resolved.

That thread is closed because the initial poster's issue was resolved. Others who tagged along had similar issues - as do you.

As you have started your own thread (as VM advised) on this, one of their agents can investigate when they get here in a day or so.

Hi @dougieando6 thanks for your post here, although I'm sorry to hear of your concerns raised here.

I know you've mentioned that it is an issue via ethernet, but does this happen when you are connected via WiFi too?

Many thanks

Tom_W

yes same issues on wifi.

Hi there @dougieando6

Thank you so much for your response.

Can I also ask if all your PlayStation software is up to date?
