hp Deskjet 2540 and Virgin Hub 5 router won’t pair despite both blue lights flashing .

Try numerous times to pair the Hub5 and the printer using the WPS button and the printer wifi icon . Just won’t pair.

+1 on modem mode.  Maybe VM should reconsider the default WiFi settings the Hub5 ships with. There must be plenty of people with clunky old hardware that simply isn't  going to like modern settings and they really should have thought about that a bit more

  My HP printer on the other hand, supports 5Ghz and was quite happy with the hub5 when I tried it, before putting it in modem mode.
