ddos attacks

Hi , recently i have been receiving a big amount of ddos attacks , i am 100% sure its a ddos attack.I use virgin media WiFi and is there any possible way to configure or change the options so it resists the attacks? because the firewall and built in protection doesn't help at all. My IP doesn't change when i hard reset the router.

Re: ddos attacks

Re: ddos attacks

Why do you believe you’re being DDOS’d?

Re: ddos attacks

people don't DDoS for no reason. Its hard work, Expensive and often has an end goal.
If your friend is untouchable maybe they don't annoy people online to get targeted.

What did you do?

Re: ddos attacks

I had an arguement with some toxic player in a game community . Also a ddos attack is as simple as going on a webpage and entering an ip and a port and sending an attack in seconds.

Re: ddos attacks

LOL so you had a petty fight and now you’re getting DDOS’d?

Put the Virgin hub into Modem mode that will give you a new IP but you’ll be limited to one working Ethernet port and no WiFi unless you connect your own router.

You see I stayed clear of that. You realise what a headache his poor Mum is going to have now because the nice man on the VM forum said he needed a new router? 😂🤣😂🤣
