android phone wont connect to home broadband

My phone will not connect to my home broadband account, note that my android phone has run out of data (Giffgaff network) I am wondering whether the lack of data on my phone prevents it from connecting to my home broadband?

You should still be able to connect. Enable WiFi, try doing a forget of the WiFi network, rescan and reconnect.

Edit: if you still have a problem, can your phone connect to another WiFi network?

I can absolutely guarantee you that running out of data will in no way prevent a wifi connection, so we can rule that out.

So what version of the VM hub is it? And, crucially, can other devices connect to the wifi and access the internet OK?
