Wired connection not working

I’m trying to use a wired connection and I’ve plugged my Ethernet into the hub and my laptop but the laptop is showing it as ‘unidentified network No internet’.  Is there something else I have to do to make it work?  The wifi is working fine and there are flashing green light on the port I’m using on the hub.  I’ve tried different ports.

Make sure the laptop network is set to DHCP.   Also try a different Cat 6 network cable, as they can fail.

Brilliant thank you, the DHCP setting was exactly the problem, now on the 5G!  Why wasn’t that info anywhere on the website?  All I could find was that I should just connect the cable and that was it.  Thanks again
