Any clues as to why my wifi keeps dropping out and trying to join Virgin Media as opposed to my wifi box please?

not sure what you mean - do you have a 3rd party router or some other wifi device - describe your setup

I just have my virgin box which everything comes through and up to a couple of weeks ago my network was the number on the box. Now my devices seem to be trying to log onto a new network called Virgin Media

do you have the guest network activated it may be that but that usually follows the the standard ssid - failing that is your hub set up as a hot spot - check that in your profile on your account
