Wifi pods band split

Spacebucks

Hi, I’ve got some virgin wifi pods to go with my hub 3. They are all connected up and appear to be working, however I prefer to spilt the bands 2.4g and 5g so I can choose between the two for different devices. I had done this already in my router settings before getting the pods but have read the pods don’t work if bands are split. Is this correct? I’m wandering if the pods are actually working or I’m just imagining it.  They seem to be but I have the bands split so am I completely wrong? I have channel optimization turned on. Thanks

I have had next to no issues with devices on 2.4 and 5ghz with the pods when i used them, they seemed to sort themselves out apart from an older camera, but just turned off 5ghz, let it connect and all stable, then re enable 5ghz and all done. I will be re using my pods as soon as they start working with the hub 5.

Thanks for all the comments. I’ll give it a try with the pods and just one name SSID
