Wifi keeps disconnecting

Specifically on my PC every minute or so it disconnects and says "No internet, secured".

I have no problems with my Xbox or mobile.

I read it may be a fault with the virgin router.

If the mobile is working, the WiFi is OK.

How are the Xbox and PC connected?

Can you connect the laptop to the Hub with a cable? You néef to see if it's the VM broadband or the WiFi that's failed

I have a strange problem with the ethernet cable connected - nothing shows up to connect to.

Maybe these problems are linked?

If it helps, my computer lags a bit just before it disconnects from the WiFi.

What do you mean by nothing shows up? 

If you connect your laptop to the Hub with an ethernet cable it should just work and allow you to browse the Web. You should be able to do a speedtest.

Welcome to the forums, I am sorry to see you have been having trouble with your connection.

 

I have taken a look and it seems you were affected by an issue with for SNR and FECS . This has now been resolved and the connection is looking good from this side.

You havent said what Hub model do you have ?  Is it the SH2 by any chance?
