Wifi Printers not working?

Hello, I have two printers at home working off Wifi. One is a Epson XP-640 and the other a HP Envy 500, both to which have just stopped working. They say they are connected to the wifi. Every time I print off my computer / Ipad / iPhone, it just says their was a error with the printer. If I hard wire them to the PC they work fine. What would cause this to happen to both printers all of a sudden?

Kind regards

What Hub model is it?

I am guessing but older printers often only work on the 2.4GHz band (not the 5GHz band) so check in the Hub settings whether it has auto-disabled itself. There are a lot of firmware bugs doing the rounds right now.

You could also try a Hub reset and see if it comes back, or splid the two bands by renaming them differently in the settings

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Have they been working in your current setup, as in you haven't changed anything?

Microsoft have basically broken printer sharing and network printers with a recent Windows Update.

There are various fixes including giving the printers a static IP address.

Hi BenP96,

Thank you for your post. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your printer.

I have been able to locate your account and nothing is showing that could be affecting this.

Have you been able to try the suggestions from jbrennand?
