Wi-Fi6 & WPA3

Tuning in

Hi I keep getting notes that my security standard WPA2-PSK is weak and poor and suggests WPA3 and that my Wi-Fi5 can be updated to Wi-Fi6.

But my Virgin Media Hub 3 doesn't show either.

Do I need a new hub?

Regards

David

Thank you for the reply.

My concern is not focussed on Privacy.

More on whether Wi-Fi 6 and WPA3 security is offered by Virgin Media on its routers?

They have been around for a while I believe.

I can buy an adapter today but can I connect via Wi-Fi 6 using WPA3 security with Virgin?

Thanks

David

If you want WPA3 NOW not that WPA2 AES is broken, get a new router

Thank you for your answer.

I take it that the answer to,

Is no, as yet?

I can purchase a new router, set the Hub 3 as a modem, etc, etc.

But Virgin don't do it - yet!

Regards,

David.

I've read that the new hub 5 is capable of it but it is currently only available by invitation whilst bugs are sorted out

Be aware very few devices that are 2.4Ghz only do not support WPA3.
