Wi-Fi not connecting to internet

Iain3355
Tuning in

Hi,

I’ve been noticing that quite frequently I am unable to connect to the internet. Done speed checks on Virgin and Ookla and although not great for 200mb speed getting around 100 average.

Quite often though I get messages that no internet connection. I did the diagnostic check on the hub and got message that there were problems. Seems all Wi-Fi connected items have low signal and are too far away from the hub despite sitting next to it.

I have reset the hub but seems to have made no difference.

Anyone any ideas please,

Iain

Reset the hub or just power off/on?

You may need a new hub the wifi goes bad on these things or you can get your own wireless router with 1Gb ports that will likely last longer and put hub in modem mode.

Did full reset with paper clip. Think I may have to phone Virgin or get my own hub, any ideas of a decent one for reasonable price?
Thanks

You can't get your own hub you need the hub as a modem

How much on a router do you want to go for? cheap is something like this

or better

ZyXEL Armor G1 Multi-Gigabit AC2600 WiFi Router - Large Home Coverage. 1 x 2.5Gbps WAN Port, 4 x Gig...

or something in between?
