Where and how?

Can an engineer reset your internet connection from the street cabinet? I mean, when he removes the tap and puts it back in. Is that what it means when an engineer actually puts you on a higher or lower tap?

I saw a few Superhub 3's on eBay for sale. A brand new one. If I wanted a new Superhub 3 could I just buy one from eBay then go ahead and activate it via the automated number?

Re: Where and how?

No ebay sellers are usually selling what amounts to stolen property - VM own the equipment and allways want it returned when the contract ends. They will NEVER activate one that has not been previously associated on your account

Re: Where and how?

How would I go about getting Virgin Media to send me a new Superhub 3 and a new TiVo box?

Re: Where and how?

I'm just concerned about security and privacy. i.e when I connect to my Wi-Fi network with no other programs open I have noticed under the netstat -an command in Command Prompt a few connections seem to establish themselves. There's a few from Amazon too.

Re: Where and how?

then you need to check your PC. any connections showing on your computer are from your computer.
But if you do not understand networking and security don't try and understand.

You'll always have loads o connections and mapping them is hard.

Re: Where and how?

No the hubs belong to Virgin media as they are rentals.

You will be handling stolen goods if you purchase one.
