Website host server Ip blocked by virgin media.

HI

I run a website - www.ecws.org.uk

All of you can see it, I cannot unless I go through a proxy.

My hosts suggest that VM has blocked my access  to my site, without going through the telephonic abiss - how do I get this resolved.

Re: Website host server Ip blocked by virgin media.

I can access it so it's doubtful that virgin are blocking it

Re: Website host server Ip blocked by virgin media.

Thats it everyone can except me - If I proxy myself I can.

other experiances on the web had individuals unable to go into their bank websites, their ISP had inadvertantly stopped them visiting the site. I have exhausted all avenues and this is the only answer we can come up with.

My host is not blocking my ip, therefor my ISP VM must be blocking my access.

I can also access my site via a mobile phone without a problem.

Re: Website host server Ip blocked by virgin media.

If could post trace route this will show where it's blocking, also could test using modem mode since this will give different ip address

It's the other way around, they've blocked your hub's WAN IP. I can access it fine from my VM connection, as someone else stated here too. Get back in contact with your host and have then unban your WAN IP.

Re: Website host server Ip blocked by virgin media.

I have already had them check the WAN Ip - it is not blocked. My host said it must be my ISP blocking my access to their site.

Like I said - yes you can - I can't unless I proxy myself.

what I would like is to have a VM tech check it out without having to go through it all again here.

1. VM have no reason to block your website. 2. If they were blocking it none of us could get to it. 3. Whoever you talked to was clueless or didn't look in the right places of their systems. Which again brings me back to what I said. Get them to unban you.
