Virgin connect app and WiFi pods

adamcarvell
On our wavelength

I have swapped the WiFi booster for WiFi pods when using the virgin connect app it would show the WiFi booster and how many connected but it’s not showing the WiFi pod ?.

if I unplug the WiFi pod and plug it back in I get another connection to the hub so they connect somehow.

but should the WiFi pod appear separately like the WiFi booster did ?.

Here is a review of my WiFi Pod Issue.

The Hub must be in 'Router Mode' and not have been changed to 'Modem Mode'

Hub in Router Mode

Channel Optimisation must be left on

On

The SSIDs must be the same and broadcast enabled

Checked and enabled

The SSID must be password protected

Checked Protected

The Passphrases of the SSIDs must match

Checked Matched

Relocate WiFi Pod

In same room as hub, within 2M

Check WiFi Pods are paired

VM Role

Check the Ethernet cable

What does this mean?

Check your WiFi setting

What does this mean?

Turn WiFi on and off
Completed this several times

Move closer to WiFi Pod

In same room

Relocate WiFi Pod

Relocated within same room

Having spent some time on this I have noticed both Pods have the same MAC address and IP address.

I look forward to your next step, please review the list above before responding as I’m being told the same things over and over again.

Hi Stew1011,

Thanks for your reply and for providing the information.

I have had another look from our side and everything is showing set up correctly with no errors detected. As this is a live report, can you please confirm if you have experienced any changes/improvements with the equipment in the last couple of days?

Nat

Nothing has changed at this side, still cannot connect.

Hi Just to confirm I have moved my HUB 3 times around the room along with the PODS and they still don’t work.

This is an absolute shambles. Can someone please contact me and advise the next step.

Alan

Thanks for coming back to us @Stew1011

I would be happy to take a further look into this for you but would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.

Regards,
