Virgin Internet - Request denied Web Page

Hi,

Experiening a few issues with connecting to the internet via the super hub 3.0.

It's not all websites but certain links will present a static webpage stating

Request Denied. Error accessing site.

I am connecting via my phone. The majority of issues occur when navigating from a url on Twitter to the site.

The issue is fairly new. It occured recently after the street had broadband issues. I have rebooted the hub multiple times.

Any advise?

Many thanks

Dan.

Re: Virgin Internet - Request denied Web Page

if you are getting a page saying that then its not the connection. It may be you are being blocked by the webserver or one of the services the site uses like cloudflare.

Re: Virgin Internet - Request denied Web Page

Hi Dan,

I have also been getting this alot lately on both my Sony and my better half's Samsung. If we use Virgin mobile, EE or public wifi with the same devices everything is fine. Virgin media broadband/WiFi is the common denominator. When I've got some time I need to ring then about it. If I have any joy I'll let you know.

Re: Virgin Internet - Request denied Web Page

I find that it's mostly email links that are broken but here are a few others that are "request denied", it would be interesting to see if other virgin users have problems with the same sites :

ign.com

collider.com

warnerbros.co.uk

letters-and-sounds.com

virgin.com

Re: Virgin Internet - Request denied Web Page

I am also suffering this problem, as is my wife. Virgin media broadband / Wi-Fi is the common denominator. No problem with the same pages when using cellular data (Giffgaff). Another example site to add to the list is certain pages on the bbc sport website.

New user also, when I do have Internet which isn't all that often I reckon 50% of standard websites I get this response on phone and computer. BBC sport, accusivison weather, virgin media website. ... List goes on.

Re: Virgin Internet - Request denied Web Page

Hi all,

It would appear there has been a slightly over zealous update to virgin media's websafe. I have just tried turning it off and
