Hi all. Anyone got a mesh setup linked to their 1GB broadband? Just wondering what speeds your getting? I have some Deco X20’s and I’m getting between 550-600mb connected via WiFi to the main hub via my iPhone 13 pro max.

If the X20 is like TP-Link's 802.11ac mesh systems, you may need to add a test device to the Deco app's QoS list to see the fastest possible speed. By default, most mesh systems are configured to manage multiple clients concurrently with decent coverage and speed, rather than optimising for peak speed on an individual device. You can add multiple devices to the QoS table, bear in mind this will be at the expense of other devices not on the list.
Unless you really are missing out with "only" 550 Mbps to a phone, then possibly better to let the X20 do what it is designed to do.
If adding the iPhone to the QoS list doesn't improve speeds, then it suggests a wifi environment issue (eg brick or stone walls, interfering wifi signals or other related problems).

Thanks for replying. I added my iPhone 13pro max to my Qos list and set the bandwidth to 1000mb and download to 60mb and got this.
I then took it off and got this!
I was sat 3 foot away from the main Deco hub, I appreciate this is still very fast but I just want to know if I’m getting what I paid for or not.

VM speeds are only guaranteed on an Ethernet cable connected device. They supply you with a broadband connection, but in no way do they ever guarantee WiFi speeds due to so many external factors.

As well as the above keep in mind as soon as you use a third party router/mesh system you reduce the available bandwidth from 1140Mbps to around 940Mbps due to the 1Gbps ethernet ports.
