VM & Mesh Network

Hi

New here- so apologies if this is a silly question.

Current Sky Broadband customer, who is just about to switch over to VM.

In order to ensure Wifi coverage throughout the house, current set up has involved ditching the Sky Q router, and replacing with a TP Link Archer VR2100 Router, and coupled that with a Deco M5 Mesh system.

I'm planning to maintain the Deco network when I move to VM.

However, on research, my understanding is that I can at that point ditch the TP Link Archer VR2100 Router, and instead move the new VM Hub to Modem mode, and plug the Deco straight into that.

Is my Understanding correct?

Or will it be Deco into the Arcgher (as current) and then Archer into the VM Hub... which feels like overkill.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Yep - you will only need the M5's.  Put the Hub into modem mode and the first Deco will do the routing.  There is a sequence to the connecion - just search the forum... I have posted it many times 😎

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Great. Thanks so much
